Workout: Chalean Burn 2, Off Triathlon Training
The Workout...
Well, I guess I'm getting stronger already because I'm using 10-12lb weights on nearly all the exercises. Fortunately, it was a day off from triathlon training, so Chalean was my only workout for the day. We did the workout in the morning, so the after work time was free (to go to the Yes/Styx concert, but that's a story for a different blog). I'd like to whine about how awful Chalean is but I know the next workout is Burn Intervals, so I'll save my whining for that.
The Food...
I did well for most of the day but when I got home I was too tired to cook anything, so I ended up eating Fruit Loops. I'm not sure where they weigh in on the scale of healthy eating but they sure are tasty. Then Boyfriend cooked (read: microwaved) us up some Lean Cuisine Tortilla Crusted Fish. I do have to say that the Lean Cuisine has definitely improved in delightfulness and deliciousness over the years. I really liked that one. We may have also got little cups of slow churned ice cream from the grocery store on our way home from the concert, but it was 150 calories of WORTH IT!
Feelings...
I fear that I may have to use heavier weights next week. I'm not sure what I'll do when I'm lifting 25 lb weights in a couple of weeks. Chalean promises that heavy weights doesn't equal giant muscles, but I don't necessarily believe her. She does have a tendency to be a stinking liar. Like when she says that exercising will rev me up and give me energy. Still waiting for that to happen. I was a little sore from yesterday's bike ride and there's always the possibility that I'm dehydrated since I suck at drinking water and I've been sucking down coffee and energy drinks to stay awake at work. I wonder if they named Red Bull, Red Bull because it tastes like Bull Shit?

hahaha! you are too funny. thanks for stopping by my blog. I have been lazy and need to get a blog post up.
ReplyDeleteYea, as far as muscles go, you need more testosterone to bulk up. But... if you are doing Chalean Extreme AND triathlon training, you are far more gung-ho than I :-) I've never managed to do any other type of training when triathlon training.
I see from your profile that you and I have much in common!
Keep up the good work!!
